The Prado Museum in Madrid have been spreading the news about their latest efforts to place more women artists into their galleries. This includes the acquisition of several new works by the likes of Marcela de Valencia, Maria Blanchard and a gift of a self-portrait by Aurelia Navarro.
To quote the article above:
After recent acquisitions of paintings and miniatures, the museum now boasts works by 13 female painters out of a total of 130 artists.
