Regular readers may remember that back in 2017 it was reported that experts in the Louvre were taking a fresh look at the 'Joconde nue', a drawing held at Chantilly previously considered to be by Leonardo da Vinci himself. The results are now in, and the answer is... inconclusive. They've determined that it was mostly made by someone who was left-handed (as Leonardo was) but that the drawing's overall condition make it impossible to determine attribution with any certainty. Perhaps the best painted version of the drawing is this one in the Hermitage.
