News from the auction house Tajan that their upcoming sale on 17th December 2025 will feature Adélaïde Labille-Guiard's Self Portrait (spotted via @neiljeffares on 'X'). Undertaken in pastel, and dated 1782, it was exhibited at the Salon de la Correspondance that very year just before she was elected to the Academy. The work will be offered carrying an estimate of €300,000 - €500,000.
